Dear Diary

The sport trip which has been prepared for the past two months becomes a reality. I think it is not as excited as I thought. The train left Hong Kong at three o'clock. It is the first time I took such a long ride on train.

I like the food and I spent most of time reading books or playing games with my brother.

Writing task 1

Dear Editor,

In recent years, scientists are warning about the need to save energy for the sake of the environment, yet some students don't care enough to change their habits, such as recycling papers, saving water and lights. Students do not change the habit because they thought that they cannot do much to change the situation. It will only be getting worse. To encourage students to change their habits, there are some ways that our school can adopt.

Firstly, all students can join a drawing competition about energy saving, so they will learn more about the ways to save energy. Students can not only improve their drawing skills but also know more about environmental protection. This can be sufficient and effective for helping students save energy.

Secondly, we can start an environmental club and organise some excursions. Students can learn the environmentally related problems and the consequences of energy wasting by visiting various sites.

Thirdly, we should use fans instead of air conditioners in the classroom, we should also use both sides of paper while printing. Students
should stop playing water in the toilet.

To conclude, there are many ways to save the energy, I think we should try our best to protect the wonderful earth.

Yours,
Angus
